My poor grandma is suffering from alzheimers, diabetes, can't talk anymore, can barely hear, can't move from her bed, basically she is a dying desktop that is automatically deleting its harddrive.

it sucks. She may lose the memories of me of her 8+ children and 20+ grandchildren
She may lose memories of her husband, of her vietnam, of her birthday, and of her best moments.
I suppose even if those memories fade away from her mind...
they will always be her own moments in life.
it was hers to experience
I hope that counts for something in this world.

In my opinion...
A person's body can be alive but they may already be considered gone.
