i get angry when i hear about those people who walk out of the WATCHMEN movie early and complain that it was too long or they didnt get it.

its not a superhero movie you dumbass

its not about a bad guy that plots to destroy the world
its about the psyche of those who choose to put on a mask and for whatever reason find themselves in their own tragic narrative.
its about putting masked heroes in a setting more realistic than x-men, ironman, spiderman, superman, and batman's realities.

its about the fragility of human life on the earth and a scary parallel with our reality

what if someone tried to use the death of many to unite the world against a common enemy?
(cough*9/11*cough)

not peace
not our existence
not anything

and if you walked out because you saw a penis, sex, or gore...
